-Identify the social issue the author tackles in their work: what facts does the author give about the social issue? 

-How does this personal experience connect with the larger social issue the author addresses? 

-How does the connection between personal experience and facts make the reader connect and care about the social issue discussed? 

-What are the various methods (techniques such as satire, irony, tone, pov) these authors use in their narrative essays. What are their effects on the text or the reader?

2. Identify non-fiction terms and devices

1. Complete the "Walk about review" (rename this page: W2 Learning Evidence) for "Walk to Morning". Speak to a different classmate for each question and record their answer AND their name.
