Synthesis essay Thursday Definition of a completed first draft: a complete version of your work that meets the criteria for the assignment, that is spell-checked, grammar-checked, typo-checked, capitalization checked. If your essay has too many errors, I will not be able to give you feedback. 1. Essay Wednesday 1. Continue work on synthesis essay. Tuesday 1. Work on synthesis essay. Monday 1. We will finish up with the poem Consummation of Grief. 2. Review some details of the synthesis essay. 3. Write your thesis and create a plan for your essay. 4. Start writing your essay. First draft is due on Friday, March 2.

Friday 1. Make sure a good copy of your stand alone (literary) text response for either SLOMO/SHLFM or Bastard/Complainers/Roll the Dice is in OneNote - it is out of /18. 2. Thursday 1. Round-table discussion about SHLFM and SLOMO. Be prepared with your ideas about these two texts. We will use the discussion in place of a quiz on these texts. You will be scoring points for your contributions to the discussion. We will try Parlay first, if that doesn't work, we will use the coloured cards from last week's debate.
