1.2:15 - 2:30 First 20 minutes  - Read your novel and make contributions to Parlay:  https://go.parlayideas.com/classes/8a0e871f-c65e-4cc6-8ff9-3dcb1eb00e7d/roundtables/online/d0f0478f-696b-4713-ae3a-6de9a4a1e5c7?invite_code=TKe2zQKQN  - This is for a quiz replacement grade - don't forget variety of responses: analytical/interpretive, evidence, connection, and to a lesser extent, question.  When you make a point, remember PEE - point, example, explanation.
2. Complete the quote blending practices in OneNote.
3. At 2:30, get together with your team mates and formulate a defense of your poem as the one that BEST shows that controlling one's life is about regulating impulses and emotions. You will have 5 minutes to defend your poem. You must use up all 5 minutes. Remember: analysis/interpretation, evidence, connections. We will begin defenses at around 2:45.
4. 2:55 - 3:25 Paragraph response to either The Bastard or one of the poems. The prompt is: Controlling our lives is about regulating our impulses and our emotions. Discuss your chosen text and how it deals with this idea.
