• Individual or collaborative - 1 “creative response” to the unit inquiry questions with a focus on difference and power structures (examples of difference include: race, ethnicity, culture, class, gender).  
Due date: week of November 14-16  - to be presented during class time in a seminar format.

Quick refresher on how to write stand alone text response for tomorrow
Remember 3 levels of reading:
1. What does the author/speaker say (show comprehension of the text).
2. How does the creator/author say what they say (show understanding of terms & devices used in the particular genre ex. metaphor, allusion, analogy, etc.)
3. What is the message about life, society, human behaviour? (show understanding of BIG IDEA in the text)

What if....
What would happen if we lost our ability to remember anything? (memory and our perspective on reality)

What would happen if we started demanding something different from the Internet? (the battle for our attention - what do we want from the Internet?)

What happens when powerful people make bad decisions?

How can we, as grads facing severe climate issues in adulthood, use data to effectively lobby our community about the dangers of climate change?

A.  Come up with a question about power structures and either race, gender, culture, etc.

B. Find a starting point (one voice) with some kind of resource: video clip, article, poem - this might be a provocation like this:

C. Gather more voices on the question to inform your view of your question

D. Create a presentation for the seminar next week - remember the rubic - Your goal is to be wise, mature, sophisticated, insightful NOT innocent/naive, egocentric, uncritical, literal!
